Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has ruled out further discussions with the striking doctors who are on an indefinite strike in Kerala. The Cabinet meet convened today directed the Health Minister to handle the stir legally. The Cabinet decision is to deal with the doctors strike without invoking ESMA (Essential Services Maintenance Act). The Cabinet which met today has come to a conclusion said the doctors stir is a major challenge posed towards the public and hence would be dealt without any lapses. Even trade unions undertake strike by giving prior notice of 15 days in advance. But here, the Kerala Government Medical Officers Association (KGMOA) protest is being undertaken without any notice of any sort.
